In The Celts first season friendly since new the signing of Marks and Williamson, The Celts came
off with a comprehensive 5-0 win over second division side Wigan. The team played quite well and chances were readily made.
The new found defence held well and the forthcoming season looks promising. Delaney headed home the first goal in the 5 min,
while 1 min later Likidis scored after latching onto a devine pass from Street. The first half ended this way, and in
the 13th minute Marks with a great tackle turned defence into attack when he played the pass through to Cicchetti who
finished cooly. Likidis got his second of the match with a superb individual effort in the 20min, before Street finished
off the scoring in the 22min with a amazing volley from a Cicchetti lay off. New Owner Johno declared himself extremely
pleased with the result.
