During a recent press conference tension built up between media and The Celts which quickly escalated
into much more. A violent outburst soon resulted from the different partied present which will surely not be forgotten
quickly by the many watching fans and members of the press.
The Celts were coping much criticism from the press during the conference and earlier outbursts from
Cicchetti and Likidis were supressed by other team members of The Celts. Towards the end of the 30 minute
conference one reporter stood up and heavily abused The Celts as a whole, Cicchetti stood up and agressively defended
The Celts. Williamson stood up to try to cool the situation, but once Williamson stood up the same reporter singled out
Williamson and abused him quite prefusely. The events which followed were extremely unexpected.
As the reporter was abusing and yelling, Williamson launched himself over the conference
table and started physically hitting the reporter. Before long the rest of The Celts and 5 other reporters were involved
in the massive brawl which eventuated. The fight was soon broke up and as of yet either party is going to take matters
further. The conference ended and The Celts were promptly taken into the team bus and back home.
Johno refused to comment on the situation.
